The Media Project is an advocacy non-profit 501(c)3 organization that supports independent media artists whose work addresses social and environmental justice issues of our time
Formed to serve the needs of media producers who do not have access to mainstream distribution networks and resources, the Media Project has encouraged and nurtured the work of emerging and established video and filmmakers and radio producers. Over the years, the organization has provided a variety of services for its members and the community at large, including: workshops and classes, a newsletter, a directory of independent producers and related services in Oregon, and a distribution service for educational media. It has also sponsored open screenings, film festivals and speakers. Films, video and radio programs sponsored by the Media Project have been widely distributed and broadcast, reaching thousands of people.
Media Project’s distribution and production arm is called Feather & Fin Productions.
