FARMERS' MARKETS

	Farmers' Markets are going strong all over the country, from small towns to big cities like Los Angeles and New York. Farmers' Markets reconnect the consumer with the people who grow their food and provide an opportunity to eat what is locally grown in your area. Walmart may still have lots of customers but more and more people shop at farmers' markets each year.
	There are over 70 farmers' markets in Oregon now. This market in dlowntown Portland is one of the oldest.
	The Lents and Moreland Markets are two of the newest markets in the Portland area. The Lents market features international vendors, including Mien farmers who grow crops at Zenger Farm. The Lents International Farmers' Market is held the last Sunday of each month, from 9:00 - 2:00 at the corner of SE 92nd and Foster Road.

	The Moreland Farmers' Market is held each Wednesday afternoon from 3:30 to 7:30 in the Moreland Business Parking Lot on SE Milwaukie at Glenwood.
	The Interstate Farmers' Market is a year old. It's co-sponsored by Kaiser Permanente, whose hospital campus is across the street. The market is held on Fremont Street, across Interstate Avenue from Kaiser. It is right on a MAX stop.

	Kevin McGovney is the Interstate Farmers' Market managemer.
	Laura Wendel is the Moreland Farmers' Market manager. She's counting customers beside Fred Carlo's famous sausage stand.

Trevor is the second generation farmer with Baird Family Farm.
	Ron Bonney with Rainy Way Farms can be found every week at the Tigard Area Market selling produce and vegetable starts.
Hillary DuBose is the market manager of the Lents International Farmers' Market
	The Lents market offers bike-delivered produce.
